Our Ministry Goals
Present the Bible: Our ultimate goal is to lead kids to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Even the smallest children can begin hiding God’s word in their heart in preparation for salvation.
Pray: Prayer is one of the most powerful tools we have as Christians. We want to not only pray for each child that walks through the door, but model and teach them how to pray.
Protect: Children cannot truly learn if they are in an environment where they do not feel safe and secure. Safety is a priority at The Little Ones Ministry.
Partner with Parents: The large majority of children’s spiritual formation occurs at home. We want to help equip parents to disciple their children. We are a team.
For the summer months of June and July 2025, we are switching to one service at 10:00AM. Therefore, check-in time will start at 9:45AM.
Childcare is offered for our 9:15AM & 11:00AM services! Our Little Ones space is located on the second floor of the church. You can check in your child starting at 9:00AM for the first service and 10:45AM for the second service located at the Little Ones Check-in desk in the lobby. Parents, you can also click below and view the Fall Curriculum that we use weekly in our Little Ones for Sunday mornings!
In our ministry to children, we want to have fun, hands-on, and engaging lessons that help our children to understand the fullness of the gospel. So that they can grow up in the Lord and start participating in church life, even at a young age. Additionally, our focus is not only to the children themselves, but also to the parents who lead them at home. We want to help Moms and Dads to feel comfortable, talking to their children about Jesus; to help lead their families spiritually and to cultivate hearts that will be open to receiving Christ.
At King’s Cross, we want you as a parent to feel assured and comfortable while in worship, knowing that your child is in a safe, clean setting, learning about Christ with their peers. On Sunday mornings, childcare drop-off begins as early as 9:45AM and runs through our morning worship service, for kids ages birth - Pre-K. During drop-off, a qualified volunteer will assist you in checking your child in and escorting them to their appropriate classrooms, where caring teachers will engage them with gospel-centered teaching, games, crafts and songs.
We also want you to know, that your child's safety is among our chief priorities. Everyone serving in the children's ministry at King's Cross has had a criminal background check. Furthermore, we always practice accountability in our childcare by ensuring that groups serve rather than individuals. We also have a system in place for checking children in and out of our nursery and encourage parents to provide us with all appropriate safety information (medical issues/allergies) before their children are dropped off at the nursery.
